This position is crucial to our operations, where you’ll work with transformers and subcomponents, ensuring they are meticulously prepped, painted, and finished to high standards. Key Responsibilities:

As a Painter – DT (2nd Shift), your primary duties will include:

  • Organizing and Identifying: Carefully organize and identify transformers and components for painting to ensure they are properly prepped and ready.
  • Painting Process: Apply primer, paint, and color according to the Bill of Materials (BOM) specifications, using plural component or other paint equipment.
  • Preparation and Protection: Clean transformers and sub-assemblies, mark areas that should not be painted, and apply a finish coat following work instructions.
  • Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough quality checks of the paint finish, ensuring it meets manufacturing standards, and rework or repaint as necessary.
  • Safety and Maintenance: Follow all safety procedures, maintain your workstation and painting system, and report any issues to supervisors or maintenance.
  • Support Tasks: Assist in other tasks like disassembly, AC assembly, and final assembly when needed, and ensure all required paperwork is completed.

Pay and Benefits:

  • Starting Pay: $22.11/hour + $0.75/hour shift premium.

Qualifications:

To succeed as a Painter – DT (2nd Shift), you should have the following qualifications:

  • Basic Requirements:

    • Ability to work within the WEG Code of Ethics and Values.
    • Flexibility to work evening or night shifts and occasional overtime, including weekends if necessary.
    • Ability to read and interpret Bills of Materials (BOMs) and drawings.
    • Basic math and computation skills.
    • Good English communication skills.
    • Must reside within a reasonable commuting distance of Washington, MO.
    • Current work authorization for employment within the U.S.
  • Preferred Qualifications:

    • High school diploma or equivalent.
    • Previous manufacturing experience.
