Job Overview: Operator

As an Operator, you will monitor, control, and operate uranium enrichment equipment to produce enriched uranium while ensuring the safety of employees and the public.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate uranium enrichment and plant utility systems.
• Perform cylinder handling activities, including connecting, disconnecting, sampling, and blending operations.
• Conduct routine inspections, maintain plant logs, and report any issues with equipment or processes.
• Participate in emergency response training and perform spill clean-up as needed.
• Train new operators on procedures and system operations.
• Assist in creating and revising operational procedures.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Education: High School Diploma or GED.
• Experience: 1-5 years in a technical, chemical, or operations work environment.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy L security clearance.
• Willing to work rotating 12-hour shifts (days/nights, weekends, some holidays).
• Emergency Response Organization (ERO) qualification required.
• Ability to work in varied environmental conditions (e.g., heat, cold, high places, exposure to radiation, and moving mechanical parts).
