Key Responsibilities
- Clean plant areas, including wet and dusty environments.
- Operate heavy equipment such as skid steers, vac trucks, and forklifts.
- Perform cleaning tasks during scheduled down days.
- Clean wool buildup and maintain Bates ductwork and shot pits.
- Change and clean filters in Bates Chamber multiple times per week.
- Conduct general line and plant cleaning as directed.
- Perform external plant cleaning, including dragline, rock house, and APC area.
- Follow safety protocols for hazardous waste disposal.
- Assist with equipment changeovers and maintenance cleaning.
- Follow lockout/tagout and confined space entry procedures.
- Use high-pressure hoses and vacuum equipment for cleaning.
- Keep detailed records of cleaning activities and safety measures.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Skills
- Must read, write, and speak English fluently.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to multi-task and work independently.
- Must obtain forklift license.
- Basic math and computer skills (SAP system proficiency preferred).
- Prior industrial cleaning experience is a plus.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk continuously.
- Lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Exposure to hot/cold temperatures and loud noise.
- Frequent kneeling, bending, and climbing stairs/ladders.
- Must obtain medical certification for respirator use.
Schedule
- Primary schedule: Monday–Friday (Day Shift).
- Some cleaning tasks may require night shifts during down days.
